EATS // MARLA BAKERY IN OUTER RICHMOND

Whenever I hear that there’s a new bakery opening up in San Francisco (or anywhere for that matter), my ears immediately perk with excitement and it’s on my MUST TRY IMMEDIATELY list.  It was no different when I heard that Marla Bakery’s first brick + mortar retail space was opening in the outer Richmond. Fortunately, I had the perfect opportunity (and lighting) to scope it out a few weeks ago.

Just another “summer” day in San Francisco… However, can’t complain as the lighting is optimum for these photos. Also, it makes all baked goods more enjoyable when it’s cold outside. Think it’s something about the cold weather, warm coffee, and hearty baked goods. Yes.

I’m pretty much a sucker for a well designed bakery. Fresh flowers, lots of wood, and tall ceilings? Winning formula for my adoration.

Check out that industrial oven!

I came out $30 poorer, and a bag full of baked goods and happiness.

It’s all  in the details! Absolutely love the vintage saucers and water jars in the corner.

The verdict? DELICIOUS. Talk about a pastry haul!
