Today is a big day in music; it was hard to decide on what to share with you all for Tuesday Tunes. This week, we wanted to spotlight some of the work that M83 has been doing recently. Anthony Gonzalez has teamed up with Tron composer Joseph Trapanese to write the score for the upcoming movie Oblivion featuring Tom Cruise. Here’s one of the songs that they have released today.
After listening to this tune, you will never hear M83 the same way again. It meshes two elements that have undeniable chemistry: M83-style electronics and vocals with sci-fi action. Of course, M83 would make great music for an epic movie, right? Why wasn’t this done sooner? Check out another one of their songs for the soundtrack here!
